SWIAA 35th Annual Conference

Since 1987, SWIAA has organized 35 Annual Conferences to promote the conservation, development, and use of Native American agricultural resources located in the Southwest. The Annual Conferences are an important way that SWIAA strengthens the Native agricultural community in the southwest. Speakers have included Extension agents from the University of Arizona, specialists in range and herd management, farmers and ranchers from the southwest tribal community, and other knowledgeable individuals. Exhibitor booths are also available for vendors, funders, and other businesses hoping to invest in tribal agriculture.

In addition to being an educational resource, the Annual Conferences are an opportunity to build community and network. Our members may use the conferences to meet each other, exchange knowledge and ideas, and find new ways to support each other. We also have our annual awards ceremony, which is a chance to celebrate scholarship winners, honor members of the community, and celebrate the achievements of our southwestern Native farmers and ranchers. We have been hosting annual conferences for over 35 years and are proud to be a resource to our members in a variety of ways.
